Former Chief Minister and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala, Haryana Industries Minister LD Arora and MDLR Airlines chairman Gopal Goyal, alias Gopal Kanda, were among 37 candidates to have filed their nominations from five assembly seats in Sirsa district today.
Chautala filed his nomination as INLD candidate from Ellenabad. Aditya Chautala, son of his youngest brother Jagdish Chander, filed papers as his covering candidate
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal alleged today that the demand for a separate SGPC for Haryana was being raised by some vested interests to mislead the Sikh masses in the state.
Sukhbir Badal was talking to mediapersons in Ellenabad where he had come to be with former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala for the filing of his nomination papers.The INLD was sure to do well in the polls, he said.
Sukhbir maintained.Certain parties in Haryana were misleading people by propagating that Sikhs in Haryana were demanding a separate SGPC for this state which was totally wrong.
