PATIALA: The Ministry of External Affairs will bear the expenses to be incurred on transportation, etc for bringing back the body of Ranjot Singh and Nitin Garg, who was died in Australia recently.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur has said over phone from Delhi that the ministry was also making all efforts to ensure that there was no delay in bringing back the body of Ranjot Singh and Nitin Garg.
Preneet Kaur said that Ministry has also approved an ex-gratia grant of Rs. 2.5 lakhs each family of the deceased.
She said that Ranjot Singh body will likely arrived here within a week as NSW police at Griffith will have to complete the investigations.
It is pertinent to mentioned here that Preneet Kaur had called upon both the families on Friday and assured all possible help form the ministry.
Gurmel Singh, political secretary of Preneet Kaur said that with the efforts of Preneet Kaur ministry has approved the ex gratia grant for both the families.
