कवि दरबार व सम्मान समारोह का हुआ आयोजन

कालांवाली, 2 फरवरी (वर्मा) पंजाबी साहित्य सभा कालांवाली की ओर से सहारा वेल्फेयर कल्ब कालांवाली द्वारा स्थानीय राजकीय कन्या वरिरष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय में कवि दरबार व सम्मान समारोह करवाया गया। इस समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि कालांवाली के समाज सेवक राजेंद्र सिंह काका थे, जबकि कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता पंजाबी साहित्य सभा सिरसा के अध्यक्ष डा. जी.डी. चौधरी, दमदमा साहिब साहित्य सभा तलबंडी साबो के अध्यक्ष जनकराज जनक, सहारा वेल्फेयर क्लब के सदस्य जंटा सिंह पटवारी, पंजाबी सत्कार सभा सिरसा के अध्यक्ष प्रदीप सचदेवा व पंजाबी साहित्य सभा कालांवाली के सरंक्षक प्रिंसीपल बीरेवल दास गुप्ता ने संयुक्त रूप से की। इस कार्यक्रम का आगाज मुख्यातिथि स. राजेन्द्र सिंह काका द्वारा वैज्ञानिक ढंग से ज्योति प्रज्ज्वलित करके किया गया।
इस के बाद कार्यक्रम में आए अतिथियों व कवियों का स्वागत करते हुए पंजाबी साहित्य सभा कालांवाली के अध्यक्ष भूपेंद्र पन्नीवालिया ने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा पंजाबी भाषा को दूसरी भाषा का दर्जा देने के लिए जारी किए गए नोटिफीकेशन का सभा के इस मंच से हार्दिक स्वागत किया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस से प्रदेश में पंजाबी का विकास होगा तथा पंजाबी पढऩे के इच्छुक लोगों को किसी प्रकार की कोई परशानी नहीं होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पंजाबी के विकास के लिए सभी पंजाबियों को एक जुट होकर कार्य करना चाहिए। इस मौके पर पंजाबी सत्कार सभा सिरसा के अध्यक्ष प्रदीप सचदेवा ने प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा हरियाणा में पंजाबी भाषा को विधिवत से दूसरी भाषा का दर्जा दिए जाने के फैसले की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि इस से प्रदेश के पंजाबियों की मांग पूरी हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने अपनी जिम्मेवारी पूरी कर दी है, अब पंजाबी भाषा को आगे ले जाना पंजाबियों की जिम्मेवारी है। इस मोके पर पंजाबी गायक भुपिंद्र सरां ने एक पंजाबी गीत प्रस्तुत करके कवि दरबार की शुरूआत की। इसके बाद डा. जी.डी. चौधरी, डा. दर्शन सिंह, जनक राज जनक, सुखचैन सिंह भंडारी, दर्शन सिंह च_ा, हरगोबिंद शेखपुरिया, हरबंत सिंह भुल्लर, मा. रेह्लती प्रसाद, दर्शन सिंह भंमे, डा. गुरनाम सिंह खोखर व मा. सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह ने अपनी रचनाएं प्रस्तुत करके वाह-वाही लूटी। इसके बाद हरदेव सिंह सिद्धु ने अपने उस्ताद गायक लाल चंद यमला जट्ट के अंदाज में गीत पेश करके उनकी याद को ताजा किया। इस के बाद बिल्लू यादव, अजीतपाल जीता, गुरदास सिंह पालना, अजैब जलालआना, हरचरन सिंह गिल, गुरदास जगमालवालिया, प्रदीप सचदेवा, करनैल सिंह सिरसा, अजीत सिंह सिरसा ने अपनी रचनाएं प्रस्तुत की। इस अवसर पर कालांवाली शिक्षा समिति के अध्यक्ष धर्मपाल गर्ग ने एक हिंदी कविता प्रस्तुत की। इस समारोह में प्रवासी पंजाबी लेखक मिंटू बराड़ का विशेष रूप से सम्मान किया गया तथा उनकी गैरहाजिरी में यह सम्मान सहारा क्लब के सदस्यों ने प्राप्त किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में अतिथियों, पत्रकारों व कवियों को स्मृति चिह्न देकर सम्मानित किया गया। कार्यक्रम का मंच संचालन मा. सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह ने किया।

जून तक पूरा होगा ओवर ब्रिज

सिरसा, 2 फरवरी(प्रदीप ) उपायुक्त युद्धवीर सिंह ख्यालिया ने अपने कार्यालय में बैठक आयोजित कर गत दिवस हिसार-डबवाली रोड पर निर्माणाधीन रेलवे ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण कार्य की समीक्षा की। बैठक में लोक निर्माण विभाग (हाइवे), रेलवे, जनस्वास्थ्य, दूरभाष, टै्रफिक पुलिस तथा परिवहन विभाग के अधिकारी उपस्थित थे। बैठक में उन्होंने सभी अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि वे रेलवे ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण में विभाग स्तर पर समन्वय स्थापित कर तेजी लाए ताकि इस ओवरब्रिज का निर्माण समय पर पूरा हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि निर्माण कार्य की समीक्षा हर सप्ताह की जाएगी। उन्होंने लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण कार्य तय समय सीमा से पीछे चल रहा है, इसमें ओर अधिक तेजी लाने की जरुरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण के लिए जिन दो भवनों का मुआवजा दिया जाना है उनका मामला भी अंतिम चरण में है। उन्होंने यातायात पुलिस अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि वे शहर के विभिन्न मार्गों पर यातायात व्यवस्था ओर ज्यादा दुरुस्त करे ताकि आमजन को किसी परेशानी का सामना न करना पड़े। बैठक में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के कार्यकारी अभियंता एके गोयल ने दावा किया कि रेलवे ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण का कार्य जून माह तक पूरा कर लिया जाएगा। अभी तक पुल के निर्माण का 60 प्रतिशत कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है। पुल के निर्माण के लिए अभी तक 24 पिल्लरों में से 22 पिल्लर खड़े करने का कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि दो पिल्लरों का निर्माण कार्य शीघ्र कर लिया जाएगा। यह कार्य केवल जमीन अधिग्रहण मुआवजे के कारण थोड़ा देरी से हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि 44 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से बनने वाले इस रेलवे ओवरब्रिज के निर्माण में दो विभागों द्वारा कार्य किया जा रहा है। 34 करोड़ रुपए की राशि से लोक निर्माण विभाग(राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग) और लगभग 10 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से रेलवे विभाग द्वारा किया जा रहा है। अब तक रेलवे विभाग द्वारा भी अपने क्षेत्र में पडऩे वाले निर्माण का कार्य 60 प्रतिशत के लगभग हो चुका है। पहले के डिजाइन से रेलवे ओवरब्रिज को थोड़ा ऊंचा किया गया है।

Indian High Commissioner to meet officials in Queensland

PTI ,--Indian High Commissioner Sujatha Singh is set to hold talks with Queensland’s senior police and community leaders over the ongoing attacks on Indians in this Australian state. Media reports said Queensland’s political leaders have defended Australia saying it is not a racist country. The comments came after report of the Indian High Commissioner would attend a meeting with senior police and community leaders in the state. Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said she believed that the country was a very tolerant and encompassing community.
“But racism from time to time does rear its ugly head,” she said. Brisbane City Council Mayor Campbell Newman also agreed to the view, saying at an Australia Day event that he did not believe Australia was a racist country.

Goel, Professor & Chairman Department of Economics, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He was addressing the participants of the Orientation Course for the university/college lecturers being organized by UGC Academic Staff College, Guru Jambeshwar University, today on ‘Management of Global Economic Crisis’. Externalities (social cost) of an unemployed youth in terms of zero opportunity cost are practically more than perceived in-terms of terrorism of various kinds by the unemployed youth who are interested in making their families millionaire even by becoming human bombs instead of human capital, told Professor Goel. To reduce the fiscal deficit in forth coming union budget 2010-11, it would be relevant for the finance Minister Mr. Parnab Mukarjee to adopt the canons of public expenditure advocated by Bharat Rattan Dr .B. R. Ambedkar in terms of the faithfulness to the intentions of the will of the people, wisdom as provided by the professionals in the field, coupled with well-considered and honest judgment, and economy in execution. The allocation of public expenditure among competing demands and the manner of utilization fall within the domain of Ambedkar’s canons, which can be seen as a touch-stone to see whether a particular items of public spending is necessary or not, said Professor Goel - a keen observer of the Indian economy.
In the second lecture on the topic ‘Excellence Models for Teachers in a Changing Economic Scenario’, Professor Goel said that spirituality is the mantra of real happiness for which India is the best country to learn lessons for life which is other wise ranked 88th in terms of the quality of life index by travel magazine International living on the basis of nine indicators including cost of living in style, risk and safety, culture and leisure, economy, environment, freedom , health, infrastructure and climate out of the 194 nations of the world. The ‘spill over’ effects ( social benefits) of education consisting of proper, productive and practical (3 P) use of hands, head and heart (3 H) are certainly more than the private benefits to the individual which justifies higher allocation of resources by the Government, opined Professor Goel. To encounter the truth of polluted relationship between teachers and students of today, we need to be courageous and realistic in dreams, imagination and tranquility which are essential attributes for sustainable human development. To reduce the critical gap in terms of availability of opportunity of higher education between the rural and urban area in India, Professor Goel justified more allocation of public sector allocation for opening more educational institutions of higher learning in rural areas. He made a call for treating higher education as a highly valuable service that has a price tag and not a heavily subsidized commodity. There is a case for formulating a well-conceived, well planned and equally well implemntable strategy for higher education in India, believes Professor Goel. To keep the higher education within the reach of poor aspirants, Professor Goel made a case for effective monitoring and regulation of the private sector through appropriate policy measures – a judicious mix of policies, which ensure efficient use of the available educational resources. He has justified the use of cost-benefit analysis for developing new projects of higher education. To plug the loopholes in non-performance, he has rightly pointed out the need for accountability. The motivated manpower in marketing is the need of the day --- (Dr.) M.M. Goel

“To become hero from zero and villains of market in present times of un (healthy) competition, the motivated manpower in marketing is the need of the day which can sell ideas, goods and services to the consumers who are the real heroes in search of quality with warranty, guaranty and standards in the market of today,” opined Professor (Dr.) M.M. Goel, Chairman, Dept. of Economics of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He was addressing the participants of Faculty Development Programme at Technology Education & Research Integrated Institutions (TERII) today on the topic, “Excellence Models for Marketing Manpower in Changing Economic Scenario.” ‘Earn while you Learn’ scheme in educational institutions providing some part time jobs to the needy students can do wonders for vocational & on-the-job training which calls for involvement of the corporate sector in a big way. They not only should come forward for campus selections but adopt and finance education of their future employees as per their requirements, emphasized Professor Goel. He believes that crisis of faith and ethics in marketing are the root causes of deteriorating marketing standards and are serious issues of concern for polluting relationship between marketer and the customer of today. To check the mismatch of manpower in various trades, there is a strong case for continuous research on estimating demand and supply of manpower today, , said Professor Goel ,To survive in an era of continuous change marketers need to be honest, humane, and hardworking in providing real value products and services to the customers. To exert influence, motivate and inspire the customers, we need manpower in marketing with qualities of head and heart having higher emotional quotient. He further said that the consumer Protection Act1986 have far reaching implications in relationship between seller and buyer leading to behavioral pollution. We need to study history of consumption as a powerful tool to understand the dynamics of social groups from different income strata for verifying consumption theories as aid to development of policy for inflation targeting and to interpret the non economic factors in inflation. It is essential for bringing objectivity in measuring and controlling inflation with concrete plan of action replacing cosmetic measures, said Professor Goel.

61वां गणतन्त्र दिवस समारोह भारी धुन्ध व सर्दी के पश्चात बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया गया।

डबवाली-- स्थानीय सिरसा रोड स्थित खेल परिसर में 61वां गणतन्त्र दिवस समारोह भारी धुन्ध व सर्दी के पश्चात बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया गया। जिसमें माननीय उप मण्डलाधीश सुभाष गाबा ने ध्वजारोहण किया व अपने सम्बोधन में हरियाणा सरकार की उपलब्धियों के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक जानकारी दी। तदोपरान्त श्री सुभाष गाबा ने हरियाणा पुलिस बल एवं विभिन्न स्कूलों के बच्चों द्वारा की गई परेड की सलामी ली। इस समारोह में डीएवी स्कूल, महिला एवं बाल कल्याण विकास विभाग, वन विभाग सहित अन्य विभागों द्वारा झांकियां प्रस्तुत की गई। जिसमें डीएवी स्कूल की झांकी प्रथम पुरस्कार दिया गया। जबकि बाल कल्याण विकास व वन विभाग को क्रमश: दूसरा व तीसरा स्थान मिला। तदोपरान्त विभिन्न स्कूलों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया और सभी स्कूलों के बच्चों ने अपनी प्रतिभा के जौहर दिखाए तथा इस समारोह में स्वतन्त्रता सेनानियों के अलावा डबवाली के नगरपालिका अधीक्षक रामनिवास शर्मा, राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय के जितेन्द्र शर्मा व सतपाल जोशी को भी उनके द्वारा किए गए अच्छे कार्यों को देखते हुए उपमण्डलाधीश द्वारा उन्हें सम्मानित किया गया। समारोह के अन्त में गणतन्त्र दिवस में भाग लेने आए सभी विद्यालयों को पुरस्कार वितरित किए गए।

दो पक्षों के बीच हुए झगड़े में मां-बेटे सहित तीन लोग घायल

डबवाली (सुखपाल)स्थानीय वार्ड नम्बर 6 कबीर बस्ती में दो पक्षों के बीच हुए झगड़े में मां-बेटे सहित तीन लोग घायल हो गए। कबीर बस्ती निवासी गुरविन्द्र उर्फ बब्बू ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि बीती देर रात्रि लगभग 9 बजे प्रेम नगर निवासी उनके सम्बन्धी अपनी जीप द्वारा उनके निवास पर आए तथा उन्होंने अपनी जीप साथ लगते मकान के आगे खड़ी कर दी। जो नानक चन्द पुत्र देसराज का है, तभी स्वयं नानक चन्द अपनी मां अनीता रानी के साथ घर से बाहर आए और गालियां निकालने लगे। शौर सुनकर हम बाहर आए तथा उनके सम्बन्धियों ने अपनी जीप को पीछे हटा दिया। परन्तु उन्होंने गालियां देनी बन्द नहीं की। गुरविन्द्र उर्फ बब्बू ने बताया कि जब वह घर से बाहर आया तो घर के बाहर खड़े सुनील ने उस पर लोहे की रॉड से हमला कर दिया। जब मेरे परिजन शौर सुन कर बाहर आए तो नानक चन्द ने मेरी मां भजनो देवी के सिर में लोहे की रॉड मारकर घायल कर दिया। शौर सुनकर मौहल्लावासी एकत्रित हो गए तथा उन्होंने हमें छुड़वाया तथा उपचार हेतु सिविल हस्पताल में दाखिल करवाया। उधर दूसरे पक्ष के घायल हुए मूल चन्द पुत्र चूनी लाल जो कि ट्रक ड्राईवर हैं, ने बताया कि वह रात्रि लगभग साढ़े 9 बजे ट्रक यूनियन से घर आया था कि यह सब आपस में झगड़ा कर रहे थे। जब वह उन्हें छुड़वाने लगे तो बब्बू पुत्र रमेश चन्द ने मुझ पर हमला बोल उन्हें घायल कर दिया। वहां पर खड़े देसराज पुत्र दर्शन ङ्क्षसह ने उन्हें छुड़वाया तथा स्थानीय राजकीय हस्पताल में उपचार हेतु भर्ती करवाया। इस मामले की जानकारी गोल चौकी पुलिस को दे दी गई है तथा दोनों पक्षों के बीच हुए झगड़े की जांच कर रही है।

नशा, दहेज प्रथा व कन्या भू्रण हत्या जैसी सामाजिक बुराईयों का मंचन कर के गणतन्त्र दिवस युवा पीढ़ी को संदेश दिया

डबवाली (सुखपाल)स्थानीय एकता नगरी स्थित आर्य विद्या मन्दिर वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय (ब्रांच) में बीते दिवस 61वें गणतन्त्र दिवस के अवसर पर ध्वजारोहण अधिवक्ता गंगा बिशन गोयल द्वारा किया गया। इसके उपरान्त विद्यालय के बच्चों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया। युवा पीढ़ी को संदेश देती एक लघु नाटिका का मंचन किया गया। जो नशा, दहेज प्रथा व कन्या भू्रण हत्या जैसी सामाजिक बुराईयों पर केन्द्रित थी। सभी प्रतिभागियों को स्मृति चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया गया। कार्यक्रम के अन्त में विद्यालय की प्रसीपल श्रीमती ज्योतिका छाबड़ा ने आए हुए अतिथियों का आभार व्यक्त किया। उधर नेहरू सीनियर सैकेंडरी स्कूल में भी गणतन्त्र दिवस मनाया गया। जिसमें स्कूल प्रसीपल हरि प्रकाश शर्मा ने तिरंगा फहराया व उपस्थित लोगों को बधाई दी। इसके उपरान्त स्कूल के बच्चों द्वारा भव्य सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया। जिसमें बच्चों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया। इस अवसर पर निबन्ध लेखन व गायन प्रतियोगिता भी करवाई गई। उधर सिविल हस्पताल में भी समस्त स्टॉफ की उपस्थिति में एसएमओ डॉ. राज कुमार ने झण्डा फहराया।

शहीद-ए-आज़म सरदार भगत सिंह ,राजगुरू व सुखदेव की प्रतिमाओं पर माल्यार्पण कर व तिरंगा फिरा कर किया याद

नई दिल्‍ली. कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स फेडरेशन की आधिकारिक साइट पर लगे हिंदुस्‍तान के नक्‍शे से जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर और गुजरात का एक बड़ा हिस्‍सा गायब है। इसे पाकिस्‍तान में दिखाया गया है। यह स्‍थिति तब है जब भारत कॉमनवेल्‍थ फेडरेशन का प्रमुख मेंबर है। भारत की राजधानी में इस साल कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स भी होने वाले हैं। इस वेबसाइट को कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स फेडरेशन अपडेट करती है। यह ख्ाबर जैसे ही सामने आई, फेडरेशन से लेकर दिल्ली गेम्स ऑर्गनाइजिंग कमिटी तक में बवाल मच गया है। कमिटी के सचिव ललित भनोट ने इसे एक गंभीर मामला बताते हुए कहा है कि यह एक गंभीर मामला है। भनोट ने कहा कि इसे बिलकुल स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। साथ में फेडरशन से इस नक्शे को हटाने के लिए कहा जाएगा।

Embarrassment over Indian ad with Pakistan ex-air chief

The advertisement appeared in Indian newspapers on Sunday


Indian officials have apologised after a government advertisement included an image of a Pakistani ex-air force chief alongside various acclaimed Indians. Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed was pictured with notable Indians such as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and cricketer Kapil Dev in an anti-female foeticide campaign. The full-page newspaper ad was produced by the women and child development ministry for National Girl Child Day.
The government has ordered an inquiry into the error.
Former Air Marshal Ahmed said the inclusion of his photograph in the advertisement was probably an "innocent mistake". Shocked "The prime minister's office has noted with regret the inclusion of a foreign national's photograph in a government of India advertisement. While an internal inquiry has been instituted, the PMO apologises to the public for this lapse," the prime minister's media adviser Harish Khare said in a statement. The full-page advertisement appeared in Indian newspapers on Sunday and had photos of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi and junior minister for women and child development Krishna Tirath. The advertisement also included photographs of two of India's cricketing heroes, Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag, as well as musician Amjad Ali Khan. Many people in India were shocked to see that the advertisement also included the photograph of former Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Ahmed, a former chief in the Pakistani Air Force. Mrs Tirath said she had set up a committee to find out how the photograph appeared in the advertisement. "I have expressed regret and also sought an apology on behalf of the ministry over the lapses. We should be cautious so that such mistakes are not repeated in the future," she said. The minister said the inquiry committee will give its report in a fortnight. "I wasn't aware about this... Sex workers begin marital life in Sirsa today

Chandigarh: Marking a ray of hope for thousands of women trapped in sex trade, six sex workers will get married to men who have come forward to be their companion for life. The marriages will be solemnised at the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa on Monday. Many Dera followers have contributed Rs 1 per day for a welfare corpus dedicated to rehabilitate these sex workers. After nearly two months, the amount is now in several lakhs of rupees. These sex workers, rescued from West Bengal, Delhi and Rajasthan, will live with their in-laws after marriage. “If the arrangement does not work or the parents of the groom backtrack from their commitment to accept them as their daughters-in-law, the Dera intends to set up a separate colony where the couple can live,” sect spokesperson Dr Aditya Insan told ,The identity of women is being concealed to avoid any possible attempt to ostracise the family. A few months ago, nearly 2,000 youths had volunteered to marry sex workers. Their consents have been supported by affidavits. Many among such youths are professionals, students of mass communication and business administration. Dr Aditiya Insan said, “These brides will have the option to pick up from a host of vocational courses run by the Dera. This will keep them occupied and offer them a decent livelihood.” A youth, who is marrying on Monday, said, “We are not marrying sex workers, their past is inconsequential to us.” Though the sect has come across many such women with children, the first six to-be-brides have no children. “These children will stay in the sect. We have a list of hundreds of families, including NRIs, who are willing to take care of expenses to bring them up,” Insan said.

डबवाली -हरियाणा व पंजाब उच्च न्यायालय के आदेशानुसार आज उपमण्डल के गांव देसूजोधा में श्री महावीर सिंह एसडीजेएम/अध्यक्ष उपमण्डलीय विदिक सेवा समिति डबवाली की अध्यक्षता में ग्रामीण लोक अदालत का आयोजन किया गया। जहां इस लोक अदालत का मंच संचालन स्थानीय बार ऐसोसिऐशन के अध्यक्ष कुलवन्त सिंह सिद्धू द्वारा किया गया। वहीं मुख्य कानूनी सहायता कमेटी के सदस्य एसके गर्ग ने हरियाणा पंचायती राज अधिनियम 1994 के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि यदि पंचायत सर्व सम्मति से यह प्रस्ताव पारित करती है कि उनके गांव की सीमा में शराब या अन्य नशीला पदार्थ बेचा या खरीदा जा रहा है तो सरकार उनके द्वारा पारित प्रस्ताव पर कार्रवाई कर सकती है। उपरोक्त लोक अदालत में कुल 87 मुकद्दमें प्रस्तुत किए गए। जिनमें से 71 मामलों का मौके पर ही निपटारा कर दिया गया। इस अवसर पर इन्द्रजीत सिंह , रविन्द्र सिंह , डीवी कुलडिय़ा, गुरप्रीत सिंह बराड़, अशोक बिश्रोई, राधे श्याम, कमलजीत व राजेश यादव के अलावा बलवन्त पटवारी, गांव के सरपंच गुरमीत सिंह उपस्थित थे।

नेताजी की 113वीं जयन्ती पर विशाल रक्तदान शिविर

जींद में सड़क दुर्घटना में आठ की मौत

जींद , 23 जनवरी :भाषा: घने कोहरे के कारण आज हरियाणा के जींद जिले के हथो गांव के निकट एक सूमो गाड़ी के एक दूध के टैंकर से टकरा जाने से सूमो में सवार छह महिलाओं और एक बच्ची :5: सहित आठ लोगों की मौत हो गई । दुर्घटना में अन्य नौ महिलाएं और दो बच्चे गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। घटना की जानकारी देते हुए जींद पुलिस अधीक्षक बी सतीश बालन ने बताया कि गांव शेरूखेड़ी :कैथल: की महिलाएं और बच्चे जीप में सवार होकर कल हिसार जिले के गांव मनमौरी में पूजा के लिए गए थे। आज ये लोग पूजा अर्चना के बाद वापस लौट रहे थे । सुबह करीब आढ़े आठ बजे राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 65 पर स्थित हथो गांव के निकट दूध के टैंकर से सूमो की टक्कर हो गई। दुर्घटना में आठ लोगों की मौत हो गई। दुर्घटना में सूमो चालक सतीश की भी घटनास्थल पर ही मीैत हो गई।
मरने वालों की पहचान ज्ञानवती, ओमवती, सरोज, नरेशी, रेखा, सुदेश और पांच वर्षीय बच्ची इशू के रूप में हुई है। दुर्घटना में नौ महिलाएं और दो बच्चे गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। घायलों को पास के नरवाना के अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया और गंभीर रूप से घायल लोगों को रोहतक भेज दिया गया है।
बालन ने बताया कि टैंकर चालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है।

'Moral victory' for Congress in Ellenabad defeat: Hooda

Chandigarh, Jan 23, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today described the result of the by-election to Ellenabad assembly constituency as a "moral victory" of the Congress. An statement quoting the chief minister said that in the last elections to the state Assembly, the Congress candidate had lost from Ellenabad by a margin of about 16,000 votes, but now this margin had reduced to merely about 6,000. He said that in last elections, the Congress candidate had got about 48,000 votes but now the number of votes increased to about 58,000.
Congress nominee Bharat Singh Beniwal lost to Abhay Chautala, younger son of former Chief Minister and INLD chief Om Parkash Chautala by a margin of 6,227 votes.

उपचुनाव में अभय चौटला जीते

एलनाबाद। हरियाणा की एलनाबाद विधानसभा सीट पर हुए उपचुनाव में इंडियन नेशनल लोकदल (आईएनएलडी)के उम्मीदवार अभयसिंह चौटाला को जीत मिली है। चौटाला ने काग्रेस के उम्मीदवार भरतसिंह बेनीवाल को तकरीबन 6200 वोटों से हराया। इस सीट के लिए उपचुनाव हुआ था। आईएनएलडी अध्यक्ष ओमप्रकाश चौटाला ने पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव में एलनाबाद के साथ-साथ उछनाकलां से भी जीत दर्ज की थी। बाद में उन्होने एलनाबाद सीट से इस्तीफा दे दिया था।
